Hi Thomas Historically Troutman and the Lake Norman area get one or two light snow accumulations per year. In the last two years there has been no (zero) accumulation of snow in this area. Every 3-4 years we have gotten a 4-6 inch accumulation storm. These accumulations usually are gone in a day or two because it is fairly warm during the days. I hope this helps. when the storms come and shuts down the sewage system and it flows into the lake. NC allows a certain amount each year. the area is over populated and the traffic is a nightmare.

Yes, most of those areas. Do you have an area or two in mind? Is Beech Mountain one of them?

I only mentioned Beech Mountain because I did a Google search for areas that had the least amount of extreme weather. Now that I know what counties it’s located in I could take a look at cities or towns I suppose. We are seniors and are looking for a single level home. Thank you for getting back to me. Great video…would you say it’s humid most of the spring and summer season? For me, high heat plus high humidity isn’t good.

Heat and humidity is off and on. For instance today is in the low 80’s with no humidity and a nice breeze. Next week could be high 80’s with some humidity. It’s definitely not like Florida. Many people move here for the great weather. I think you are always going to have some hot and humid days but Charlotte is a great balance. I hope that helps.

Yes, that is correct. There is a playground and there is a beach area for swimming. There is also kayak in paddle boat rentals.
